… HBO has decided to give you a weekly dose of the wild west with it’s show Westworld (which is also a remake or that is television series reboot of the 1973 movie Westworld written and directed by Michael Crichton). Villains, heros, drama, and of course prostitutes, the wild west genre has it all.
The Magnificent Seven is a 2016 American western action film directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by Nic Pizzolatto and Richard Wenk. A remake of the 1960 western film of the same name, which in turn was a remake of the 1954 Japanese film Seven Samurai, the film stars Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D’Onofrio, Lee Byung-hun, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Martin Sensmeier, Haley Bennett and Peter Sarsgaard.
It is the final film of composer James Horner, who died the previous year after composing a part of the score; his friend Simon Franglen completed the music.
Westworld is a science fiction thriller television series developed by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy for HBO, based on the 1973 film of the same name, which was written and directed by American novelist Michael Crichton. Nolan serves as executive producer along with Joy, J. J. Abrams and Bryan Burk with Nolan directing the pilot.
It is scheduled to premiere October 2, 2016. Described as “a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin,” the series tells the story of a futuristic theme park called Westworld. Westworld stars Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evam Rachel Wood, and James Marden.
