‘Rogue One’ possibly one of the very best of the Star Wars franchise yet
The official trailers for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story have gotten better and better, and if Star Wars fans weren’t excited yet, they probably for sure are now.
Judging by the trailers (especially the most recent) Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (set to hit theaters December 16, 2016) has a kind of intensely visual wide angle encompassing and emotional reverence that’s pretty much unprecedented.
Now with more of the story of the film being revealed also, a glimpse of some of the skill of the top notch actors, and of course the re-emergence of the most famous fictional villains of all time Darth Vader as one of the characters, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is a undoubtedly seriously tough act to beat.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story‘s theme is far less about the Jedi (although it does appear to have a strong emphasis on belief of The Force), and focuses on a band of misfits recruited (“by chance”) to help Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) who’s father was captured by the Empire to be one of the chief scientists to build the Death Star.
Obtaining the plans of the Death Star is what is mainly on the agenda for Jyn and her team, who also have help from an outside source (Jyn’s fater Galen Erso who sent a transmission to the Rebellion) setting the whole mission into motion, and of course resulting in the famous eventual first time destruction of the Death Star by Luke Skywalker’s team in the first Star Wars movie of the series.
