Oprah Winfrey is taking the Oprah book club to the next level
As many people would agree, when the legendary Oprah Winfrey likes a book, it’s a worth reading, and she’s just taken that to the next level. While The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks isn’t really yet considered a classic, and was published in 2010, that doesn’t mean that it wasn’t or that the movie adaptation of The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks doesn’t have the stamp of instant classic.
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks definitely has Oprah’s stamp of approval, so much so that she is starring as the character Deborah Lacks in the film. Oprah Winfrey is of course no stranger to acting however, and has starred in such immortal classics as The Color Purple, as well as the Sesame Street episode featuring the letter “O”.
That’s not all though, Oprah has graced the world with her acting skill in 20 some plus other movies and television shows. You can soon also see Oprah on the big screen in The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, then soon after the Richard Prior bio Richard Pryor: Is It Something I Said?, and as Mrs. Which in movie adaptation of the classic book A Wrinkle In Time.
