Opening night of ‘Hamilton’ at the Pantages in Hollywood brought the celebs (even Lin Manuel Miranda!)

The musical Hamilton was a huge success on Broadway, and now it’s moved on to the west coast to repeat that awesome run once again. Opening for Hamilton’s 5 month run (‘off Broadway’ I guess you could say) at the Pantages theater in Hollywood was for sure celebrity magnet. The creator and original star in the lead role of Alexander Hamilton while on Broadway, Lin Manuel Miranda was probably the most famous celebrity at the event …

… and he was welcomed on stage by Michael Luwoye who has taken over the role of Hamilton. Of course other than starring in the famed original run of Hamilton on Broadway (where it grossed $1.9 million a week in ticket sales) …

… Lin Manuel Miranda of course also wrote the book, music, and lyrics for Hamilton (so yeah he’s for sure still getting some nice residuals). Some other celebrities in attendance for opening night of Hamilton at the Pantages in Hollywood August 16th 2017 were: JJ Abrams, Amy Adams, Josh Grobin, Jimmy Kimmel, Elizabeth Banks, Jessica Alba, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, and Paris Jackson.

Hamilton is the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway, HAMILTON is the story of America then, as told by America now.
