Emily Blunt is a drunken witness in ‘The Girl On The Train’
After Emily Blunt‘s character Rachel’s husband leaves her for another women, she becomes a serious alchy reeling from the dissolution of her marriage to Tom (portrayed by Justin Theroux), who left her for another woman. Rachel’s drinking has caused her to lose her job; she frequently binges and has blackouts.
Very frequently, while drunk, she harasses Tom by phone and sometimes even in person, though she has little or no memory of these acts once she sobers up. That said, there is a murder on a train and she witnesses it, although she was drunk. There you have the main plot of The Girl On The Train, set for theaters October 7 2016.
A funny quark about the movie was that they had to change Lisa Kudrow‘s character name from Monica to Martha mainly because of a possible Friend’s connotation.
